Petty Pedestrian

I'm walking along the pavement, noise-cancelling headphones shutting out the world’s bustle, and eyes down. Glancing up, I see you approaching, three abreast.

You're caught up in your three way conversation, argument, or whatever. Lips flapping and arms gesticulating wildly. There's no room for me to pass, but if you think I'm stepping into the road you're much mistaken. Get out of the way, you fucking WANKERS!

As I brace myself for the collision I'm too bloody-minded to want to avoid, one of you notices and creates space. I nod and smile. What a nice bloke, I think. I'd like to say that the above internal monologue was drawn entirely from the imagination, and that I'd never behave in such a way in real life. That would be a lie, though...
